Grafschaft Perth, 4 km nordwestlich von Perth, mit (1891) 423 Einw. und altem Schloß (ursprünglich Ruthven genannt), wo 1582 ein Bund der protestantischen Edelleute unter Führung des Lords Ruthven, Grafen von Gowry, König Jakob VI. zur Entlassung der Günstlinge Lennox und Arran nötigte und ihn selbst gefangen nahm (raid of Ruthven).
