Heredĭtas

Heredĭtas (lat., Heredität), Erbschaft (s. d.), im objektiven Sinne die Gesamtheit der beim Tod jemandes vorhandenen Aktiva und Passiva; subjektiv (im prätorischen Recht bonorum possessio) der Eintritt jemandes in die objektive H., soviel wie Erbfolge; h. jacens. »ruhende Erbschaft«; cura hereditatis jacentis, die unter richterlicher Aussicht stehende Verwaltung einer ruhenden Erbschaft. – In der Physiologie ist Heredität soviel wie Erblichkeit (s. d.).
