Hep, hep! bekannter Spottruf gegen die Juden, der zuerst 1819 bei den Hetzen in Würzburg, Frankfurt, Darmstadt, Karlsruhe, Hamburg u. a. O. von dem Pöbel mit dem Zusatz »Jud verreck!« vernommen wurde. Der Ruf gilt für eine ungenaue Abkürzung von »Hierosolyma est perdita«, »Jerusalem ist zerstört«. Nach andrer Erklärung ist er eine Abkürzung von Hebräer.
