Hawkshead (spr. haoks-hedd), Städtchen in Lancashire (England), 8 km südwestlich von Ambleside, am Esthwaite Water, mit alter normannischer Kirche, einer lateinischen Schule, die der Dichter Wordsworth besucht hat, und (1901) 638 Einw.; 1 km nördlich liegt H. Hall, ehemals Landsitz der Äbte von Furneß.
