Hauraki, großer Meerbusen an der Ostküste der Nordinsel von Neuseeland, 104 km lang und 30–50 km breit, ist im O. begrenzt durch die Koromandelhalbinsel. In sein südlichstes Ende, den Firth of Thames, mündet der Thames. Am Eingang liegen die Große und Kleine Barrierinsel vor dem sich westlich weit hineinziehenden vortrefflichen Waitematahafen mit Auckland (s. d.), an seiner Südseite die Inseln Rangitoto, Tapu, Motutapu, Waihehi und Ponui.
