Harrogate (spr. hárrogēt), Stadt (municipal borough) und Badeort im Westbezirk von Yorkshire (England), 137 m ü. M., besteht aus Ober- und Unter-H., mit 25 seit 1596 entdeckten Schwefel- und Stahlquellen, mehreren großen Badeanstalten, Kursälen, dem Bath-Hospital (für Arme seit 1834), Denkmal der Königin Viktoria und (1901) 28,423 Einw.
