Gorm (G. der Alte), König von Dänemark, gest. um 940, galt lange fälschlich als der erste König des dänischen Gesamtreichs. Sein Name und der seiner Gemahlin, Tyra Danebod, sind mit Dänemarks vorzüglichsten Altertümern, den beiden großen Hügeln bei Jellinge (in der Nähe von Veile), verknüpft, von denen der eine ihre Grabkammer enthält.
