Gentilly (spr. schantiji), Stadt im franz. Depart. Seine, Arrond. Sceaux, südlich vor der Enceinte von Paris, am Fuße des Hügels und Forts von Bicêtre (s.d.), an der Bièvre, an der Gürtel- und Orléansbahn gelegen, hat eine Kirche (13. Jahrh.), Steinbrüche, Gerbereien, Kerzen-, Essig- und Firnisfabriken und (1901) 7433 Einw. Hier hielt König Pippin 767 eine Synode ab.
