Eyssenhardt

Eyssenhardt, Franz, Philolog, geb. 6. März 1838 in Berlin, gest. 30. Nov. 1901 in Hamburg, studierte 1857–61 inc Berlin, wurde 1863 Lehrer am Werderschen Gymnasium daselbst, 1876 Professor am Johanneum in Hamburg und 1883 Direktor der Hamburger Stadtbibliothek. Er veröffentlichte Textrezensionen des Martianus Capella (Leipz. 1866), des Phädrus (Berl. 1867), des Macrobius (Leipz. 1868, 2. Aufl. 1893), der »Historia Miscella« (Berl. 1869), der Metamorphosen des Apulejus (das. 1869), des Ammianus Marcellinus (das. 1871) und der »Scriptores historiae Augustae« (mit H. Jordan, das. 1864, 2 Bde.). Sonst nennen wir: »Römisch und Romanisch« (Berl. 1882); »Barth. Georg Niebuhr, ein biographischer Versuch« (Gotha 1886); »Italien, Schilderungen alter und neuer Dichter« (das. 1890). Von 1884–94 gab er jährlich die »Mitteilungen aus der Hamburger Stadtbibliothek« heraus. Vgl. Fritsch, Franz E. E. (Leipz. 1903).
