Easton (spr. īst'n), Hauptstadt der Grafschaft Northampton in Pennsylvanien, an der Mündung des Lehigh in den Delaware, bedeutender Bahnknotenpunkt, mit dem Lafayette College (29 Professoren, 426 Studierende, Bibliothek von 21,200 Bänden), hat Eisenhütten, Maschinen-, Orgel-, Seidenfabriken und zählt (1900) 25,238 Einw.
