Drew (spr. dru), Frederic, um die Kenntnis Kaschmirs verdienter Geolog, geb. 11. Aug. 1836 in Southampton, gest. 28. Ott. 1891 in Eton, trat 1855 bei der geologischen Landesaufnahme Englands ein, wurde 1862 vom Maharadscha nach Kaschmir berufen und zum Gouverneur von Ladakh ernannt. Nach England 1872 zurückgekehrt, wurde er Professor der Geologie in Eton. Er veröffentlichte unter anderm »The Jummo and Kashmir territories« (Lond. 1875).
