Dholera, Stadt im Distrikt Ahmedabad der britisch-ind. Präsidentschaft Bombay, früher unmittelbar am Golf von Cambay, jetzt hinter einem 19 km breiten Sumpfland gelegen, so daß sich der Seehandel über die kleinern Plätze Khun und Bavliari bewegt, mit (1891) 10,038 Einw., die Baumwollspinnerei und-Weberei sowie bedeutenden Baumwollhandel treiben. D. hat einer auf dem europäischen Markt bekannten Baumwollsorte den Namen gegeben.
