Delboeuf

Delboeuf (spr. dellböff), Joseph, Philosoph, geb. 30. Sept. 1831 in Lüttich, gest. 13. Aug. 1896 in Bonn, studierte in Lüttich und in Bonn, wurde 1860 Lehrer in Lüttich, 1863 Professor in Gent und war seit 1866 Professor der klassischen Philologie an der Universität und der Ecole normale des humanités in Lüttich. Er ist hauptsächlich bekannt durch seine Schriften auf naturphilosophischem und psychologischem Gebiet; von denselben sind zu nennen: »La psychologie comme science naturelle« (Brüssel 1876); »Questions de philosophie et de science« (Par. 1883 u. 1885); »Examen critique de la loi psychophysique« (das. 1883); »La matière brute et la matière vivante« (das. 1887).
