Cork, die größte Grafschaft der irischen Provinz Munster, reicht vom Kenmare River bis zum Hafen von Youghal, grenzt im W. an die Grafschaft Kerry, im N. an Limerick, im O. an Tipperary und Waterford, zerfällt in zwei Bezirke (Ost und West) und hat mit Einschluß der eine besondere Grafschaft bildenden Stadt C. einen Flächenraum von 7485 qkm (135 QM.) mit (1901) 404,813 Einw. (54 auf 1 qkm), wovon 90,4 Proz. katholisch sind.
