Willisan, Bezirkshauptstadt im schweizer. Kanton Luzern, an der Wigger und der Bahnlinie Langenthal-Wolhusen, 560 m ü. M., hat eine schöne Kirche, eine Wallfahrtskirche, ein ehemaliges Schloß (jetzt Schulhaus), Sekundärschule, Bank, besuchte Märkte und (1900) 1582 meist kath. Einwohner. Die benachbarte Gemeinde W.-Land hat 2547 Einw.
