Bhrigu

Bhrigu, im Veda Bezeichnung mythischer Wesen, die das Feuer auf Erden verbreiten. B. ist außerdem der Name eines der vornehmsten brahmanischen Priestergeschlechter. In der spätern Hinduliteratur ist B. Sohn des Brahma.
