Volvic: Volvic (spr. wollwik), Stadt im franz. Depart. Puy-de-Dôme, Arrond. Riom, 450–500 m ü. M., am Abhange des Puy de la Bannière (761 m), an der Orléansbahn und der Lokalbahn Riom-V. gelegen, hat eine romanische Kirche (12. Jahrh.), eine Bau- und Bildhauerschule (mit kleinem Museum), bedeutende Lavabrüche (900 Arbeiter), Bildhauerei und (1906) 2174 (als Gemeinde 3460) Einw. Auf einer Anhöhe über der Stadt die Kolossalstatue der heiligen Jungfrau, 1,5 km nördlich Ruinen des Schlosses Tournoël (12.–16. Jahrh.).
