Turkwell

Turkwell, Fluß im brit. Ugandaprotektorat (Ostafrika), vom Ostabhang des Elgon (2100 m) herabfließend, durchzieht im Oberlauf ein wüstenhaftes Land (Dornbüsche), hat aber Galeriewälder; obwohl ziemlich wasserreich, endet er westlich des Rudolfsees (s. d.). Der T. ist von Austin untersucht.
