Terafîm, eine Art Hausgötter oder Penaten, die im 1. Mos. 31, 19, 34 und 1. Sam. 19, 13, 16 erwähnt werden. Sie waren in Menschengestalt dargestellt und galten als Beschirmer, Glückspender und Hausorakel. Der von den Aramäern übernommene Terafimdienst erhielt sich vereinzelt bis zum babylonischen Exil und ward stets als Götzendienst verurteilt.
