Taouata

Taouata (Ta[h]uata, Santa Cristina), eine der franz. Markesasinseln, 70 qkm mit (1888) 403 Einw., wird durchzogen von einem sehr schroffen, bis 1000 m hohen Gebirgsrücken, hat steile Ufer und in der Bai von Waitahu einen guten Hafen.
