Surrey (spr. ßörrĭ), engl. Grafschaft zwischen den Grafschaften Middlesex, Kent, Sussex, Hampshire und Berks, hat 1963 qkm (35,6 QM.) Areal mit (1901) 2,012,744 Einw. (1025 auf 1 qkm), wovon 1,336,970 Einw. auf die Grafschaft London und 133,895 auf Croydon entfallen, so daß dem Verwaltungsbezirk S. nur 519,654 Einw. verbleiben. Hauptstadt ist Guildford. Vgl.
