Sultanabad, 1) Hauptort der pers. Provinz Irak Adjemi, 140 km westlich von Kaschan, 1840 m ü. M., erst vor 100 Jahren gegründet, hat 6–8000 Einw. und treibt lebhaften Handel mit Teppichen (meist nach Europa). – 2) Hauptort der Landschaft Turschiz in der pers. Provinz Chorassan, daher auch selbst Turschiz genannt, 130 km südwestlich von Meschhed, mit 5000 Einw. und Ausfuhr von Getreide und Seide.
