Stanhopĕa Frost., Gattung der Orchideen, Epiphyten mit nur einem Laubblatt auf der Luftknolle und hängendem Blütenstand mit einer mäßigen Zahl oft sehr großer Blüten. Über 20 Arten im tropischen Amerika, von denen mehrere ihrer schönen, intensiv wohlriechenden, meist gelben, oft purpurn oder braun gefleckten Blüten halber kultiviert werden.
