Batonga (Batoka), großes Bantuvolk im südlichen Barotse- oder Mambundareich (s. Karte »Äquatorialafrika«) zwischen dem Sambesi und seinen Zuflüssen Kafue und Njoko. Durch die Makololo und Matabele vor einigen Jahrzehnten in diese Gegenden gedrängt, sind sie fleißige Ackerbauer, Schmiede, Gerber und Elefantenjäger. Die Männer gehen fast völlig nackt, die Weiber tragen lange Gewänder aus Leder; die Sprache steht der der Damara nahe.
