Samfara

Samfara: Samfara (Zanfara), Tributärstaat des ehemals afrikan. Reiches Sokoto, im Sudân, mit ihm in britischen Besitz übergegangen und jetzt zu Nordnigeria gehörig (s. Nigeria), mit einer aus mehreren Volkselementen gemischten Bevölkerung, die Landbau, Weberei, Färberei, Töpferei, Lederarbeiten und im nördlichen Teil Pferdezucht treibt.
