Salian (Ssaljany), Stadt im Kreis Dschewat des russisch-transkaukas. Gouv. Baku, am Beginn des 860 qkm großen Kuradeltas, hat eine Moschee, 11 islamitische Schulen, Telegraphenstation und (1897) 12,121 Einw., meist Tataren, die Fischerei (Jahreswert 2 Mill. Rubel) und Salzgewinnung betreiben.
