Sablé-sur-Sarthe (spr. ßablé-ßür-ßárt'), Stadt im franz. Depart. Sarthe, Arrond. La Flèche, an der Sarthe, die hier die Erve aufnimmt, Knotenpunkt der West- und der Orléansbahn, hat ein schönes Schloß (von 1720), eine Schloßruine, eine moderne Kirche mit schönen Glasmalereien, ergiebige Marmorbrüche, Mühlen, Viehhandel und (1901) 5086 (als Gemeinde 5599) Einwohner.
