Provinz Potenza, Kreis Melfi, am Nordostfuße des Monte Vulture (1330 m), an einem Zweige der Eisenbahn Foggia-Potenza, hat eine normannische, durch die Erdbeben von 1691 und 1851 teilweise zerstörte Kathedrale mit schönem Portal und Glockenturm (13. Jahrh.), Ölgewinnung und (1901) 3303 Einw.
