Ptychosperma Labill. (Seaforthia R. Br.), Gattung der Palmen, hohe Bäume mit gleichmäßig gesiederten Blättern, schief abgestutzten, vorn gezahnten Fiedern und zwei- bis dreifach verzweigten Blütenkolben. 13 Arten auf den Sundainseln, dem Papuaarchipel, den Fidschiinseln und in Nordaustralien. P. elegans Bl, ist eine beliebte Gewächshaus- und Zimmerpflanze. P. Alexandrae W. et Dr. und P. Cunninghamiana W, et Dr., 10–20 m hohe herrliche Palmen im tropischen u. subtropischen Ostaustralien, werden jetzt zur Gattung Archontophoenix W. et Dr. gerechnet. Sie werden viel in Gewächshäusern kultiviert.
