Poppi, Stadt in der ital. Provinz und dem Kreis Arezzo, 435 m ü. M., auf einer Anhöhe am rechten Ufer des Arno und an der Eisenbahn Arezzo-Pratovecchio-Stia, hat Zinnenmauern aus dem 13. Jahrh., eine alte Burg (1274 von Arnolfo del Cambio erbaut), eine Kirche des 10. Jahrh., ein Rathaus (16. Jahrh.), eine Bibliothek (14,000 Bände), Weberei, Färberei und (1901) 1505 (Gemeinde 7845) Einw. – Nordwestlich liegt das Schlachtfeld von Campaldino, wo 1289 die guelfischen Florentiner (darunter der 24jährige Dante) über die verbannten Ghibellinen und die Aretiner siegten.
