Saffron-Waldon, Stadt (municipal borough) in der engl. Grafschaft Essex, am Cam, hat eine schöne spätgotische Kirche (15. Jahrh.), Burgruine, viele altertümliche Häuser, Lateinschule, Lehrerinnenseminar, ein Museum, ein Rathaus (1879), Kornbörse, Eisengießerei, Bierbrauerei und (1901) 5896 Einw. In der Nähe Audley End, der prächtige Landsitz des Lords Braybrook (teilweise aus dem 17. Jahrh.).
