Praxeas, ein kleinasiat. Christ, der als entschiedener Gegner der Montanisten (s. d.) und Vertreter einer modalistischen Lehre (s. Christologie, S. 118) nach Rom und Karthago kam, wo ihn Tertullian schriftstellerisch bekämpfte.
